Visiting the site

The site sets no cookies, uses no tracking and loads no content from third-party servers. When you open a page, our hosting provider Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA) processes technically necessary data such as IP address, time, requested address and browser identifier in order to deliver the site and protect it against attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Contact

If you write to us via the form or by email, we process your name, email address and message in order to reply (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). Form messages are sent via Resend (Resend, Inc., USA, sending from the EU). Cloudflare forwards emails sent to our address. To prevent abuse, we keep a check value derived from your IP address for one hour. We delete messages once the request is settled and no retention obligation applies.

Listings for golf courses and providers

When you book, Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Ireland) handles payment and invoicing. We receive your name, email address, billing address and, where applicable, your VAT ID, but no full card details.

For access to your listing we store your email address and booking status with Cloudflare and send access links by email via Resend. Texts and photos of the listing are kept in a private repository at GitHub (GitHub, Inc., USA) and translated into the six languages of the site with Claude by Anthropic (Anthropic PBC, USA). Only the content of the listing is published, not your email address.

The legal basis is the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for invoices, statutory retention obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). We keep the data until the contract ends and invoice data until the statutory periods expire.

Providers in the USA

Cloudflare, Resend, GitHub and Anthropic are based in the USA, and Stripe may transfer data to its US parent company. Transfers are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, and otherwise on EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).

Links to courses and providers

Booking and website links lead to third-party sites. The operator only receives data from you once you click, and their privacy policy applies there.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability (Art. 15 to 20 GDPR) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). An informal email to kontakt@golfcoursesmallorca.com is enough.

You can lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, for example the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA) in Ansbach.
